Apple Watch Series 3 vs Series 5 – Which One to Buy

Today, we’re going to compare the Apple Watch Series 3 with the new Apple Watch Series 5. There are two different Apple Watches that are currently available and there’s a gap in the middle with the Apple Watch 4, which they stopped selling. I recently made a video about the Apple Watch Series 4 vs the Series 5, because the Series 4 is still available, just not directly from Apple. If that interests you, check out the video. Apple Watch Series 5: https://ift.tt/2ontxdk Watch Series 3: https://ift.tt/366dP7o If you’re trying to decide between the three and the five, which are the versions that are still available right now, there are a lot of things to consider, so let’s go through the differences so we can determine if it’s worth spending the extra money on the Apple Watch 5.” The Apple Watch Series 3 is priced really well and it’s a direct competitor to a lot of other fitness devices out there such as the Fitbit Versa, which I compared the Apple Watch 3 to a Fitbit Versa 2 in another video. So, you’ll want to check that out as well. I love comparisons. I like putting up technology against each ...

Today, we’re going to look at the top five cases I was able to find on Amazon for the iPhone 11 Pro. These cases are available not only for the regular Pro but also for the 11. Actually, these cases are available for a lot of different devices, but they’re highly rated on Amazon and I’m always looking for a good case for my phone to protect it and give it a little bit of just maybe more grip-ability. So we’re going to dive right in. These cases we’re going to be looking at are cases that are on Amazon and they’re priced rather budget-friendly. So if you’re looking for something to protect your new investment, these cases are really good options for the money. SUPCASE Unicorn Beetle Our first case is from SUPCASE. This is the Unicorn Beetle. They’ve got this case available in different colors and different sizes for the different devices. This one is more of a minimal case. It’s a clear backed case and you can see the back glass of your phone really easily. So this case is pretty nice, pretty simple, very minimal. The case has really a nice fit. I like that I ...

How Dual SIM on the iPhone Works

In 2018, Apple announced support for two phone lines on the iPhone XR, XS, and XS Max but it wasn’t supported by the major carriers right away. I have had dual SIM phones in the past that left a lackluster experience with having two lines on a phone. After waiting to see others report of their experience, I decided to try it myself. In this video and the article below, I show you how well it works. If you are considering adding a second line to your iPhone, now is no better time! Considering buying a new iPhone? Check out these links: iPhone XS Max: https://ift.tt/2FjpsLD XS: https://ift.tt/2unJCz8 Xr: https://ift.tt/2FiAZuB Hey, what’s up? It’s Jerad with State of Tech. Today I’m going to tell you everything that I know about the iPhone using two lines on the iPhone. Now in 2018 when Apple released the iPhone 10s, 10s Max and 10r, the phone supported dual SIM functionality. Now it doesn’t necessarily mean that you have to put two SIM cards in it. Essentially the phone still takes one SIM, but it also comes with an eSIM. An eSIM is a digital SIM card essentially hardwired end of the phone the ...

Samsung Galaxy Watch Active vs Fitbit Versa

Considering a new smartwatch activity tracker? Most would think of the Fitbit Versa but what about the Samsung Galaxy Active? In this video and article, I compare both. Samsung Galaxy Watch Active: https://ift.tt/2CqqlRT Fitbit Versa: https://sot.show/versa Hey, what’s up? It’s Jerad with State of Tech and today we’re going to take a look at two different smartwatches one from Fit Bit called the Versa, one from Samsung called the Galaxy Watch Active. Now, the watches do a lot of things that are very similar, but there are some differences and that’s why I wanted to talk about them. I think a lot of people assume that a Samsung watch is only good for Samsung phones or perhaps maybe Android, and they don’t think that this watch actually can be used cross-platform even if you’re on an iPhone. Just like the Fit Bit, you can use it on iPhone or Android. The Samsung watch definitely allows for that as well. So, what are the main differences in these devices? Well, they’re both relatively around the same size. The screen sizes are about the same. The Fit Bit Versa has a square versus the Galaxy Watch Active which has a round face. ...

Are Airpods Worth The Money?

The #1 question I get asked most about my Airpods is “Are they worth it,” or “Are they worth the money?” Let’s answer that question. Airpods: https://ift.tt/2Cp3nL4 Lew from Unbox Therapy: I’ve got a confession to make. I was starting to feel a bit guilty here. I’m being honest. I’m being transparent. In front of me, I mean, you know this product. This product became such a meme. It’s crazy how it picked up steam after the fact, after it came out. I mean, when it came out, there were- Jerad: Okay, so I don’t watch every single Unbox Therapy video, but sometimes, I am just drawn in. When Lew started talking about the AirPods, it made me think because I know he appreciates good quality audio, and his confession was most likely going to be that these have become his go-to headphones, so I wanted to hear what he had to say. It resonated with me for a couple of different reasons. Now, I tend to use these headphones all the time. It’s not just because lately I’ve been on the iPhone predominately. I have been on the iPhone a lot more predominately, of course, now that I have ...

Fototriever Helps You Keep Track of your iPhone Photos

Fototriever means no more searching and scrolling through endless photos, simply speak or enter search text, and the photo is quickly found. “I kept looking at photos on my camera, and I couldn’t remember who some of the people were on some of the trips I was on,” says Fototriever co-creator Dr. Alan Jeroff. “In the olden days I would always write on the back of the photo who the people were in the photo. That’s simply not possible in today’s digital-only world!” Dr. Jeroff discussed this issue with his associate, Dr. Dennis Nimchuk, and they decided to hire a computer science programmer from the University of British Columbia to help them develop the app. The pair are thrilled with the results. “When I was in Palm Springs at a tennis match, I took photos. Back in the hotel room later that evening is when I tagged them. I was able to tag them by players, score, stats and opponents,” continues Dr. Jeroff. “Then, I was able to use my voice to search for the photos by simply saying a player’s name, the score, stats, or opponent, and the correct photos were instantly retrieved and displayed!” By using Fototriever photographers ...

Amazon Fire TV/Stick Won’t Connect to Wifi – Not In Range

When Amazon launched their Fire TV, I bought one right away and over the years, the device has only improved. I recently upgraded to the latest Fire TV, which has more options and better quality video streaming than my original. I now use an Amazon Fire TV Cube, which is a handsfree Alexa powered device for Prime TV and Movies. I wanted to revisit the Wifi Connection option I had with my first Fire TV. A while back, my Amazon Fire TV stopped connecting to my wifi network. My network did display in the “available networks,” but it displayed as “Not In Range.” This was weird because directly next to the Amazon Fire TV is an Apple TV, Chromecast, Connected Bluray Player and the TV has wifi as well. All other devices had full signal strength. After power cycling the Amazon Fire TV, my router and modem only to have no luck, I gave up for the day. Two days later I attempted again and had the same error. With a fresh mind of the issue at hand, I remembered that I had run a software update on my ASUS RT-AC3200 Router. I figured that had to be it so I ...

MacBook Pro Beats Threadripper PC at Rendering Video in Premiere Pro

Gone are the days of the Mac sitting in the PC’s shadows of video render performance in Adobe Premiere Pro. I switched to PC a few years ago after tiring of the long render times of 4K video on the Mac. We wanted to stick with Premiere Pro because it was cross-platform. Switching to Final Cut Pro would mean we would always have to be on a Mac as we often access old projects for our videos and video work we do for clients. Recently, I purchased a 2018 MacBook Pro with the i9 processor, 32GB of RAM, and a 1 TB SSD with hopes that connecting an eGPU to the Mac would give me comparable performance to a PC laptop. Once I learned that the Mac could support multiple eGPUs connected to its four Thunderbolt 3 ports, I had to try connecting as many as I could. The results surpassed what I could have hoped for beating out my $4200 Ryzen Threadripper PC build. This video is that test. Gigabyte RX 580 Gaming Box eGPU: https://ift.tt/2yxaHCa Here are the results of rendering out the above video on all configurations shown in the video: MacBook Pro No eGPU: Coming soon ...
