Apple Starts Manufacturing iPhone 11 in India

In a major momentum to the government’s Make in India initiative, Apple has begun manufacturing its flagship iPhone 11 at the Foxconn plant near Chennai. Notably, this is often the primary time that a top-of-the-line iPhone is being made in India.

Apple has officially started producing its flagship Apple iPhone 11 at the Foxconn plant near Chennai in India. The move will help Apple by reducing the prices important and hence the ultimate cost of the phones. Further, with the government’s Make-in-India initiative, this also helps create more employment opportunities in India.

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal tweeted on Friday – “Significant boost to make in India! Apple has started manufacturing iPhone 11 in India, bringing a top-of-the-line model for the first time in the country.”

India has become a crucial marketplace for all smartphone vendors, because of the very fact that it already has over 50 crore smartphone users. Companies including Samsung and Xiaomi have already invested many resources within the country to satisfy the growing demands of Indian consumers. The expansion of consumer demand has lately attracted Apple and its suppliers too.

Earlier this month, Foxconn, which may be a leading supplier for iPhone and other Apple devices, reportedly planned to take a position up to $1 billion (roughly Rs. 7,491 crores) to expand its India factory where it assembles iPhone models.

Apple’s assembly partner Pegatron Corp is additionally gearing up to line its first production plant in India. Pegatron is now fixing an area subsidiary and joining other Taiwanese electronics assemblers Foxconn and Wistron. The Taiwanese company is that the second-largest assembler of Apple iPhones, actually counting on the corporate for over half its business. Apple likely to launch iPhone 12 on September 8; MacBooks with Silicon to arrive on Oct 27

We are inching closer to get our hands on Apple iPhone 12 series. Although the Cupertino-based tech juggernaut Apple hasn’t confirmed the launch date yet, it hasn’t stopped leakster and tipsters from speculating about it. Apparently, a leakster who goes by the username iHacktu Pro (@ihacktu) has posted a plausible launch date i.e. September 8.

According to the post, Apple could launch the upcoming iPhone 12 series and the Apple Watch Series 6 among a bunch of other hardware at the September 8 event. Further, the MacBooks with Silicone and Apple Glass could make a splash on October 27.

As said, Apple hasn’t confirmed the dates yet but given the fact that Apple has a resembling launch schedule every year, it could be plausible. Last year, Apple held its iPhone 11 series launch on September 10 and it was a Tuesday, and guess what, the upcoming September 8 is also a Tuesday. But for some time, take it with a pinch of salt.

The report further adds that Apple will be launching its much-anticipated AirPower charging pad that has been rumored to arrive for months and maybe years now. Along with it, a new iPad could make a splash on September 8 and no doubt it will be an online-only event as we are still a long way on containing COVID-19 pandemic.

Fast forward to October 27 when Apple is likely to another launch event, it will be for a refreshed iPad Pro, the Apple Glass project, and Apple’s in-house silicon-based Apple chips mounting MacBook and MacBook Pro 13 that will leave its competitors spellbound.

Google Spying on Users’ Data to Make Its Apps Better

Google spying on user’s data to enhance its own products. A report suggests that Google has some integral program through which its employees can access complete information on how a user uses his/her Android smartphone, i.e. how Android users are interacting with third-party apps available on their smartphones.

According to a report from the knowledge, a program called “Android Lockbox”, it’s a Google mobile service, which keeps a track of every activity what an Android user neutralize its smartphone, it keeps a record of how frequently users use non-Google apps and services (like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter), how long users use those apps, and also how apps are used on the pre-country basis.

The report clearly means Google spying on user’s data but consistent with Google, this service is primarily focussed on background service management, and therefore the company also said that this information is out there to the app developers but they will only view only their apps and products.

The report also says, when YouTube was developing a rival feature of TikTok, that point Google’s employees extracted such a lot valuable information about, how people using the app, and the way frequently they’re visiting TikTok. there’s nothing like privacy during this era of the web, with Android Lockbox, the company’s employees also can check the sensitive data about other apps including how long they’re used. This feature works on Google Mobile Service (GMS).

According to the report, “In some cases, such as YouTube in India, this data helps Google advance its own competing apps, say the people, all of whom requested anonymity to speak freely,” 

According to The Verge, a Google’s spokesperson stated, “Since 2014, the Android App Usage Data API has been used by Google and Android developers who have been authorized by Android OEMs or users to access basic data about app usage — such as how often apps are opened — to analyze and improve services. The API doesn’t obtain any information about the in-app activity and our collection of this data is disclosed to and controllable by users,”

Well, this isn’t new or surprising news, and Google isn’t the sole company to spy on user’s data, a couple of days back, about 7 VPN services were trapped leaking about 1.2 TB of user’s personal data. In 2017, a piece of writing from The Wall Street Journal also stated that Facebook is employing a VPN service Oravo to watch competent apps in which the VPN service was closed in 2019.

One side these Tech giant claim that they’re going to provide secure and safe services, and launch many features like Google itself getting to launch a secure folder in its Files and on other hand, they themselves spy on our data regardless of in what way and what’s the rationale, but they’re cheating with their users.

Our most-trusted brands shouldn’t do such creepy things a minimum of and this was sad that Google spying on user’s data to reinforce their own products and services. Such actions are against user’s privacy and data security so tech companies and repair providers should lookout of their actions.

Latest macOS Big Sur beta suggests FaceID on Mac is coming

Time and again, we have said that Apple’s Mac devices have been doing really well in the market and while Windows is still leading by a long way, we have seen that people who love Macs can’t use anything else. It has to be acknowledged that Apple’s hardware for their Mac devices is far superior to most Windows devices excluding some manufacturers like Dell and Microsoft. Now, it is another thing that macOS is an OS that not everyone likes despite agreeing that Mac hardware is superior and many even buy a Macbook to install Windows later on.

Now, this will no longer work because Mac devices are switching to Apple Silicon and Bootcamp for installing Windows will no longer work. Also, there is a new version of macOS known as macOS Big Sur which is also macOS 11. So it means that Mac is having its best year of upgrades in a long time. Well, to make things even more exciting, we have a new report from 9toMac which is exclusively shared by them.

They have torn down the latest macOS Big Sur beta released by Apple recently and have found out that Mac is soon getting Face ID support. Looking at the Windows side, we know that “Windows Hello” is available on Windows-enabled laptops. So it was time that Mac also followed suit and let people log in to their laptops with Face ID. On top of that, we know Apple’s Face ID is the most secure mechanism for face unlock as seen on iPhones and iPad so this will make their Mac devices even more secure.

As for the actual findings, 9to5Mac found a new extension inside the macOS Big Sur beta named as support for  “PearlCamera” which is an internal name for TrueDepth Camera and FaceID as found from iPhone’s internal code. Also, there were other tags such as “FaceDetect” and “BioCapture” that further confirm the existence of FaceID support coming to Mac.

Coming to when the Mac devices will start having a TrueDepth camera and supporting FaceID, the report adds that “implementation is still in the early stages” which means that there might be some time left before we see it come to reality. However, it is quite possible that Apple will start putting the supporting hardware in their devices coming later this year and announce software support in the meantime which would make sense so that people are not left without hardware when the software is ready.

Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 Pricing starts at Rs 1,84,990 in India; Might Launch with Snapdragon 865 SoC Globally!

Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is not new to us anymore. The device has been an active part of the rumor mill for quite a while now! We have seen the renders of the device in the past and the specifications were also leaked a couple of times. Samsung has recently confirmed the launch of the device too. Now, a recent report from a popular YouTuber confirms that the Galaxy Fold 2 will retail at the price of Rs. 1,84,990 in India.

The information comes to us from a popular creator and YouTuber Sandeep Sarma aka RevAtlas. Sandeep took it Twitter saying that the units will be on the first come first serve pre-order basis. The reason for this is only 1000 units are coming in total in the first batch for entire India. And the good news here is that the Galaxy Fold 2 might unveil with Snapdragon 865 or Snapdragon 865 Plus powering the show.

Unlike other Galaxy flagships which generally are launched with Snapdragon SoCs in the United States and Exynos SoC in other regions including India, the Galaxy Fold 2 will be launched with Qualcomm Snapdragon internationally! If the pricing is believed, this could mean that the Fold 2 will be more expensive than the original Fold by around 100$ internationally!

According to the previous reports, Galaxy Fold 2 will likely sport a larger 7.59-inch main display and a 6.23-inch secondary display with 2213×1689 pixels and 2267×819 pixels resolution respectively. Moreover, the main display will be scaled up to 120Hz as the Galaxy S20 series launched in February had it as well. Also, the render of the possible device was posted by Samsung Insider Ice Universe.

The image posted by Ice Universe on Twitter shows a very tiny punch-hole display camera cutout on the top right of the device. As you can see, the camera here is not placed on the corners or neither towards the center making it look awkward. But if you clearly observe the device, it is understandable why Samsung has to opt for an off-placed selfie camera. Although most of the people might not like the design here, it is still better than the original Fold which came with a chunky bezel and also lesser screen real estate than Fold 2.

Next year’s Galaxy Fold might have a serious tech packed in with sturdier display and S Pen support too, as the company is closely working with Corning. Moreover, Samsung is also working on in-display camera technology for quite some time now, so next year we can expect a Galaxy Fold with this tech packed in. Maybe 2021 is a year for in-display camera devices as Huawei is also working on two devices with the same technology.

After weeks and months of being teased, the OnePlus Nord aka New Beginning as OnePlus has been marketing it is here. AccuWeather hopes to fill the void left by Dark Sky with its new features

There is a new report from the Android world that will make a lot of weather forecasting app fans happy and it is from AccuWeather. According to AndroidPolice, AccuWeather has released a new feature inside its app that will let you see minute-by-minute forecasts that are sought-after by many people.

Now, we knew that there was a spectacular app available on both Android and iOS earlier known as Dark Sky that let you see minute-by-minute forecasts among other things. Sadly though, we had to report that Apple acquired Dark Sky and the app will be soon made exclusive to iOS only for obvious reasons.

Due to that reason, people who used Dark Sky on a daily basis and loved the app were left without any option. Not to worry anymore as AccuWeather has launched some features inside its own app that were available on Dark Sky only. One of those features is minute-by-minute forecasts telling you when the rain will start and when to expect snow or cloudy weather.

AccuWeather is also known to be working on a full overhaul with a redesign of its app. This overhaul is quite similar to the looks of Dark Sky app and we think it is a good thing while AccuWeather does keep its own identity alive. AccuWeather has also changed its logo which will be available from now on. Their interface has been redesigned too and you will have a bottom navigation bar for every section now.

Talking about the minute-by-minute forecast, AccuWeather has introduced what it calls a “MinuteCast” meter similar to a clock that shows you local precipitation forecasts. This is not exactly how Dark Sky’s minute-by-minute forecasts work but it is similar and we hope it works well. You also get dark mode with the new AccuWeather app along with a “black mode” as well. We have seen this to be a trend for most apps where “dark” mode is just Grey while “Black” is solid black.

Since the redesign is now available for AccuWeather, you can download the app from PlayStore or update your app if you already have it and the redesign will be live for yourself. It is known that the redesign was being worked upon for last three months meaning that most of the bugs have been squashed to give you a bug-free experience.

Google’s former Chief of Photography joins Adobe to develop a ‘universal camera’ app

We had reported this month that Google’s chief of photography, Marc Levoy, had left the company earlier this year after mutual agreement from both the company and Marc. Now, this was a shocker for the fans and followers of Google Pixel lineup and their camera prowess over the years. Because we know that Google’s Camera is exceptional right now and it is not because of hardware but because of software. It was strange for Google to let such an employee go who has literally made the Pixel a brand that it is right now.

We all speculated that Marc Levoy could join another OEM such as Samsung or Apple to bring his expertise in this field of software-backed camera improvements and make their cameras better. Also, we were hoping OnePlus would sign him at the first possible chance in order to benefit from his talents. However, it has now been revealed that Marc Levoy has been picked up by none other than Adobe.

Yes, Adobe the company which makes awesome designing tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Lightroom and others will now have the talents of Marc Levoy. Also, the company has revealed that Marc will help them make a “universal camera” app. Now, we already know that Adobe has released apps for the Android phones which work on almost every model. One of them is the Photoshop Camera which can be termed as a universal app too.

Adobe sent a brief statement to TheVerge stating that Marc Levoy’s assignment will be “centered on the concept of a universal camera app,” but did not elaborate any further. It is possible that there might be a new app as a camera replacement for Android phones while this could be an update to Photoshop Camera app as well.

Now, we already know that Google Pixel owners know how valuable their camera is all thanks to the Google Camera app. We also see that if the Google Camera app is installed on other phones, it works and works very well to produce much better photos than the stock app.

This is all thanks to Google’s computation photography and if Adobe brings the same to every phone, we will be interested in seeing sales of the Pixel phones because the only advantage they have right now would be gone as well.

New Galaxy Unpacked Teaser Hints at Galaxy Fold 2 Launch

We are just a few days away from the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2020 event on August 5. However, for days we have heard that Fold 2 will not release at the event or it will make its launch in October and so on. Samsung Mobile posted a short 12-seconds video that states otherwise.

The short video teaser posted by Samsung Mobile’s official Twitter handle looks like the upcoming Unpacked event. It shows a similar drop falling to create something that was linked with Galaxy Note 20 series a few days ago. The bronze-colored droplet falls and transforms into a butterfly which for those who know or don’t know, it is the wallpaper that Samsung Galaxy Fold arrived with last year. Since Galaxy Fold 2 is a successor to the world’s first-ever commercially available foldable phone, it is quite clear that Galaxy Fold 2 will make its launch at the upcoming August 5 event.

Talking about the specifications, these aren’t the exact specifications but highly speculated by various sources including Ross Young who is the CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants. It states that the upcoming Galaxy Fold 2 will likely sport a larger 7.59” main display and a 6.23” secondary display with 2213×1689 pixels and 2267×819 pixels resolution respectively. Moreover, the main display will be scaled up to 120Hz as the Galaxy S20 series launched in February had it as well.

Other specifications include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ processor along with 12GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage. The phone will pack in a hefty 4,365 mAh battery along with a 64MP triple camera setup which acts as both a front and rear camera module. As per the pricing is concerned, Galaxy Fold 2 will be almost $100 cheaper than its predecessor as the company is likely to produce it on a mass volume dropping the price tag to lure customers.

Facebook Messenger Gets Screen Sharing for Android and iOS

Facebook Messenger has introduced a screen sharing feature for app users on Android and iOS. The same can also be accessed on the Web and desktop via Messenger Rooms. Just like Zoom, people can instantly share their mobile or desktop screens and activities with their friends on Messenger.

Facebook announces that they are launching screen sharing on Messenger for both Android and iOS. Facebook said this will be a “fun and engaging way” to connect with friends and family. Apart from screen-sharing in mobile (Android and iOS), the feature will be available in Messenger rooms with up to 16 people on web and desktop, and soon Facebook will increase it to a maximum of 50 people within a Messenger room.

• Login with your Facebook account.
• After successful installation and login.
• Make a video call.
• Slide the black screen from bottom to up.
• Now, Tap on Share your Screen.
• Now, allow the required permission.
• That’s it, your screen will be appearing to others too.
• You can stop the screen sharing anytime, just by tapping on Stop Sharing.

OnePlus Nord to Ditch Dialer and Messages App with Google Dialer and Messenger

It is only a couple of days left for the official launch of OnePlus Nord. OnePlus is creating an enormous amount of hypes for the launch of its new mid-ranger. Company officials, YouTubers, and Twitter users also played a huge role in this new segment’s pre-launch promotions. Also, OnePlus, itself is very active in various social media platforms. Yesterday, OnePlus posted a video on its Instagram page(@oneplus.nord) regarding the announcement of ditching its default dialer and messages app with Gooogle’s alternatives.

Google apps are a key part of most Android smartphones, but OEMs often have replacements or alternatives to a number of them. OnePlus, for instance, has long shipped its phones with the company’s dialer and SMS apps pre-installed. It seems, though, that we’ll see a change thereto with Nord.

Why would OnePlus change? within the video, the corporate just about says that Google’s apps are better, “smoother” to be specific. There’s not much wrong with OnePlus’ alternatives to those apps, but it’s no secret that Google has developed some great products with these two apps specifically. Google Phone features a clean UI with smart features, and it’s been building out more features like Call Recording in certain regions. Google Phone has been used on many OEM Android phones in India, a neighborhood OnePlus will surely be targeting with Nord.

OnePlus Nord Leaked Specifications

Popular tipster Evan Blass, known as evleaks has published a complete specs sheet of the OnePlus Nord ahead of its launch. So let’s see what are we waiting for.

The OnePlus Nord will have a 6.44-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with the new standard 90Hz refresh rate and 20:9 aspect ratio with a pixel resolution of 2400X1080. It will have Gorilla Glass protection, in-display fingerprint reader, and dual punch-hole camera set up in the front.

The dual punch-hole camera setup at the top left will have a 32-megapixel Sony IMX616 sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor for selfies. On the main camera end, it will have a quad-camera setup that will include a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor with OIS and EIS. Along with it, you will have an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with 119-degree FOV, a 5-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

It will be powered by Snapdragon 765G 5G and will have up to 12GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 256GB of storage. The OnePlus Nord will run in Android 10-based OxygenOS 10.

It will have NFC, Bluetooth 5.1, and all of the usual connectivity options. OnePlus Nord will have a 4115mAh battery and Wrap Charge 30T fast-charging. The phone will be available in three colors namely- Blue Marble, Gray Onyx, and Gray Ash. The launch of the OnePlus Nord is scheduled on July 21, so it will be interesting to see.

Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Leaked 360-Degree Video Reveals Entire Design

Samsung is preparing to release the Galaxy Note 20 series. It is often shown simultaneously with the Galaxy Z Flip 5G and Galaxy Fold 2, and therefore the event itself is promised on August 5. But before the official launch, a 360-degree video render leaked by the famous tipster Evan Blass revealed the entire design of the base variant of the Samsung Galaxy Note 20.

Leaker Evan Blass, who goes by @evleaks on Twitter and is taken into account very reliable when it involves prematurely revealing the yet-to-be-announced Android phones, has shared a 360-degree GIF of the smaller Galaxy Note 20 on his private Twitter account. Starting with the 360-degree view, the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 has been leaked during a video showing off the phone from all sides. The device is seen to sport triple rear cameras at the rear with the three image sensors sitting in one line vertically on the highest left corner of the panel. The sensors sit inside an oblong camera module with the flash placed on the side. The phone has the Samsung logo at rock bottom of the rear panel, and it’s seen carrying a matte black finish. there’s no rear or side fingerprint scanner seen on the phone, hinting at an in-display fingerprint sensor.

This isn’t just a few photos but several gif images that give us a 360-degree check out the upcoming Galaxy Note flagship. The renders show the Note 20 won’t have a curved display design like its predecessors but will utilize a completely flat display.

The display will hold a punch-hole design which has become a daily feature of Samsung’s recent flagship models. the only hole-punch is found at the upper mid-region of the screen. At the rear, the device features an oblong camera module located at the highest left corner of the rear panel. The module houses a triple camera setup also as an LED flash.

Previously leaked CAD renders of the Galaxy Note20 had a fourth camera on the rear, but given Blass’ excellent diary, it’s likely that we’ll see the regular Note20 sport triple rear cameras. The clip also shows us the quantity rocker and power button on the proper side, and upon closer inspection, you’ll notice the S Pen stylus placed on the left side of the USB-C port at rock bottom.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 Press Renders Leaked showcasing the Design with Keyboard cover and S Pen

Samsung has recently confirmed that it will be holding the Galaxy Unpacked event on August 5. Multiple reports in the past have claimed that the South Korean tech giant will unveil the Galaxy Note 20 series, Galaxy Fold 2 and Flip 5G, Galaxy Tab S7 series, and Watch 3. Tipster SamChun suggested that the Galaxy Tab S7 and Galaxy Tab S7 Plus will be launched alongside the Galaxy Watch 3 separately. Now a reputed tipster shared an official render of the Galaxy Tab S7 which is showcased with S Pen and keyboard cover.

The render comes to us from Evan Blass aka evleaks which can be seen featuring minimal bezels compared to the previously leaked renders by Pigtou publication. From the design standpoint, it shares a lot of resemblance with the latest Apple iPad Pro. As showcased in the images the S Pen may come bundled inside the box whereas the keyboard cover is likely to go on sale separately. Given the recent decision by the company to stop bundling charging bricks it is no wonder if Samsung sells the S Pen separately.

Previous reports suggested that the Galaxy Tab S7 series will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus SoC which was announced very recently. The Galaxy Tab S7 might feature a 12.4-inch AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2800 x 1752 pixels. The pixel density of this display is 267 PPI. Despite having a higher resolution, the display might not be sharp. At least when compared with the last year’s Galaxy Tab S6. The Galaxy Tab S7 series could possibly be Samsung’s answer to the iPad Pro series from Apple.

The iPad Pro is already unveiled with a similar refresh rate display i.e., 120Hz ProMotion screen. Considering this is a flagship tablet series from Samsung we can expect these devices to feature AMOLED display tech which would give the Galaxy Tab S7 series a slight edge over the iPad Pro. Reports also suggested that the 5G variant of the Galaxy Tab S7 Plus will only bear Sub-6 GHz frequency bands. Now, this means specific carriers in the United States will not be able to use the 5G network initially except the company rules to build a custom variant for those carriers, just like they did with the Galaxy S20.

Both the Tab S7 Plus variants i.e., LTE and 5G are expected to be backed by a whopping 10,090 mAh battery. As for the optics, the Tab S7 comes with a similar dual rear camera setup seen on its predecessor. The primary camera here is a 13 MP shooter and 5 MP secondary camera joins the show in support. On the front, there is an 8 MP selfie camera.

Oppo launched its Find X2 Pro flagship smartphone series in India last month. Four months after its official debut, the Oppo Find X2 Pro Lamborghini Edition has arrived in India. The phone features identical specs to the X2 Pro but comes with an exclusive design inspired by the Aventador SVJ Roadster and a limited-edition box crammed with extra goodies. These include a car charger, TWS earbuds, case, a daily charger, and cable all branded with the signature yellow bull logo.

Oppo Find X2 Pro sports a 6.7-inch QHD+ Ultra Vision display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a 240Hz touch sampling rate. The panel used in the smartphone is 3K, with a resolution of 3168 x 1440 pixels. The display is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 6. The display also houses for an under-display fingerprint sensor, which is much faster than the previous generation sensor, according to the company.

Unlike the camera setup in X2, we have a little change in X2 Pro. The front punch-hole selfie camera has a 32 MP sensor with f/2.4 aperture & 5P Lens. And the rear triple camera setup houses a 48 MP primary sensor(Sony IMX689) with 1/1.4″ sensor size, f/1.7 aperture, 7P Lens, and individual pixel size of 1.12µm and OIS support, a secondary 48 MP ultra-wide-angle sensor(Sony IMX586) with 120-degree support, and finally the 13 MP Periscope Telephoto camera with 5X Optical Zoom, 10X Hybrid Zoom & up to 60X Digital Zoom.

Under the hood, Oppo Find X2 sports a 2.96GHz octa-core Qualcomm 865 SoC paired with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of onboard storage and the Adreno 640 GPU. The smartphone is fueled by a non-removable Li-Po 4260 mAh battery with is backed up with a 64-watt fast charger(SuperVOOC 2.0).

And top of that, Oppo Find X2 finally providing the IP68 water and dust resistant rating. The device will run Android 10 with its ColorOS 7.1.

Mysterious OnePlus Phone spotted on GeekBench with Snapdragon 690, 6GB RAM & Android 10

We are barely ten days away from the official OnePlus Nord AR launch on July 21 that will unleash OnePlus’ mid-range 5G phone that has made quite a buzz for a few weeks now. OnePlus Nord has appeared in numerous leaks both official and others bearing model number AC2003 which includes GeekBench listings. However, there’s something new that leakster Abhishek reported recently. There’s a different phone from OnePlus that has appeared on GeekBench.

The OnePlus Nord will officially sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor with a base frequency clocked at 1.8GHz along with 12GB RAM scoring around 612 points on single-core and 1955 points on the multi-core test.

On the other hand, a mysterious OnePlus phone bearing model number BE2028 has appeared on the GeekBench carrying 6GB RAM, Android 10, and its processor identified as “lito” clocked at a base frequency of 1.71GHz. It scores a whopping 609 points on single-core and 1728 points on multi-core tests. This phone does manage to squeeze almost the same single-core score while the multi-core score is slightly lower.

According to GizmoChina, this is the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 chipset that was released last month as a 600-series 5G chipset. The Snapdragon 690 processor arrives with 2x Kryo 50 cores clocked at 2GHz while there are 6 Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.7GHz along with Adreno 619L.

The Snapdragon 690 supports Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, FHD+ display at up to 120Hz refresh rate, and QHD+ displays at 60Hz. This does give an estimate as to what we can expect with this mysterious OnePlus device that could either launch with OnePlus Nord or OnePlus Nord Lite that could arrive on a later date. If rumors are to be believed, OnePlus Nord will commence a new series and there’s Nord T, Nord S to complement the phone launching on July 21.

Apple recommends not to close Macbook lids with camera cover

Since the last few years, we have seen that people are taking the problems of privacy and security very seriously since they have seen that hacking incidents have increased a lot. We have seen how smartphone OEMs, as well as software makers, have set up rules where if a camera is being used then the users will be alerted. However, this is the case with smartphones but there are cameras on laptops and some desktops as well. In this case, it is for users to keep their information private rather than relying on software.

At the moment, we have two prominent software running for a desktop that is either based on macOS or Windows. On Windows, some OEMs have started to provide privacy shutters where the webcam can be closed if not in use. For Mac, however, we don’t have the same from Apple so people use external webcam shutters or tapes. Using tape on any laptop is fine but the problem with camera cover is that they are not designed for the laptop so they are often not fitting with the laptop while in the closed position.

We have seen that many people use their Macbook with a camera cover and they close the laptop with the cover placed on top. This is dangerous and there are reports of display cracks caused by this. Now, Apple has also issued a warning saying that users should not close their Macbook lids with camera covers placed on top. In no way does Apple say not to use camera covers but they should be removed when the laptop is off is what they are saying.

Apple says that:

“If you close your Mac notebook with a camera cover installed, you might damage your display because the clearance between the display and keyboard is designed to very tight tolerances. Covering the built-in camera might also interfere with the ambient light sensor and prevent features like automatic brightness and True Tone from working. As an alternative to a camera cover, use the camera indicator light to determine if your camera is active, and decide which apps can use your camera in System Preferences”.

If you have seen Macbooks that have a line right down the middle of the display also known as a display fracture then camera cover is most likely to be the cause of this. People who have Apple Care+ can get their laptops fixed even if the display is damaged due to camera cover but those who don’t get Apple Care will have to pay from their pockets and it will be very expensive to repair the display.

Pixel 4A 5G and Pixel 5 Appeared on Google App Code, There Might Not be Pixel 5 XL This Year

We were having an eye on Google phones for a while now, and now we can expect Googles Pixel 4A 5G and Pixel 5 soon, but no Pixel 5 XL this year. A report from 9to5 Google reveals that the company has lined up its Pixel devices for 2020 launch, in which the search giant has included a 5G variant which is called Pixel 4A 5G and Pixel 5.

Well, the launch of Pixel 4A has been delayed repeatedly thanks to the continuing pandemic, the device has been shown in benchmark repeatedly, and also alleged in some camera reviews. Meanwhile, we were expecting Pixel 5 to be launched earlier, however, it also got delayed. Moreover, some evidence clarifies that there’s no Pixel 5 XL this year.

From a couple of months back now, we were tracking three codenames of Google’s Pixel Phone 2020- sunfish, redfin, and bramble. Some leaks suggest that Sunfish is powered by Snapdragon 730 Soc for Pixel4A 5G and Pixel 5 was codenamed as Redfin and expected to be powered with either Snapdragon 765, 765G, or 768G SoC.

Dylan Roussel from 9to5 Google gets deeper into the code of the newest beta version of the Google search app and located out the name of the entire Google Pixel 2020 series. consistent with Dylan, the upcoming device list reveal Pixel 4A 5G and Pixel 5 models, but no Pixel 5 XL was listed there. you’ll check yourself from the below image.

So far they found evidence that a bramble codenamed device is going to be powered by a Snapdragon 765Gchip, which is clearly used for 5G connectivity. Another question arises, how is Google getting to differentiate between two similar devices? they might make a difference in cost, design, and build quality. they will use cheaper material like ‘Plastic’ in Pixel 4A, and a premium ‘Glass’ material in Pixel 5.

That leaves us with three clear 2020 Google Pixel devices: Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, and Pixel 5. The Pixel 4a 5G and Pixel 5 will both have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765, though the previous will certainly offer 5G while the latter also will likely offer support for it. It’s interesting that the most series and “a” series Pixel phones will have essentially an equivalent processor. We expect the 4a 5G to take care of the cheaper build materials and a few other lower specifications to stay the worth down. as an example, we all know that “redfin” AKA the 5 will support reverse wireless charging, but we don’t know if an equivalent is true of “bramble” AKA the 4a 5G.

Its good to understand that Google Pixel 4A 5G and Pixel 5 are coming soon, but no Pixel 5XL this year is sort of disappointing. Now we’ve to attend for the official announcement of the event, and launch of the Google Pixel 2020 series.

OnePlus Nord Leaked in Full Thanks to Renders, ‘Creator Cases’ also Revealed

As we have already seen, OnePlus is heavily marketing their upcoming Nord series smartphones and the first phone in this new lineup is just around the corner. We have seen how the company is hyping up this phone by releasing controlled leaks of the device along with revealing some specifications too.

So far, we know that OnePlus Nord will feature a Snapdragon 765G chip which comes with 5G support. We will also have 6 or 8GB RAM on the devices with 128GB of internal storage and a quad-camera setup at the back. Also, the device is confirmed to have a dual punch-hole selfie camera setup which will be seen on OnePlus device for the first time.

OnePlus Nord renders

Now, the covers are off from the OnePlus Nord as reputed leaker @evleaks has published the full renders of this device on his Patron page. From the looks of the device, it is very similar to the Realme X50 Pro that was launched earlier and many people even expected the OnePlus Nord to be a rebranded X50 and looks like they were right. The major difference between OnePlus Nord and Realme X50 Pro, however, will be OnePlus’ OxygenOS versus Realme’s Realme UI.

Along with the phone’s renders, Evan Blass has also shared the cases that will come alongside OnePlus Nord at launch. And the cases are not boring as they do have a “Creator Case” collection this time around. Apart from OnePlus’ classic transparent case as well as a blue case in line with the Nord colour scheme, we will have a new case which looks like a sandstone finish.

Other than that, there will be three new cases where one of them will be a JerryRigEverything edition. If you don’t know about JerryRigEverything, he is a popular creator on YouTube who came to fame for tearing down smartphones to check their durability inside and out. He also started showing videos of how to do clear editions of any device meaning to remove the coating on the back panel and show the internals of a device.

OnePlus Nord cases

Taking a cue from that, OnePlus Nord will have a case which tried to show the internals of the device on the case itself. As you can see from the image above, it is as good as it gets to a clear edition device without tinkering with it. While we already know that OnePlus Nord will be priced below $500, we will wait to see the actual price of the device on July 21 at its official launch event as that’s the only thing we have left to see.
