Green Tint Issues Are Now Spreading To Some iPhone Models

If there’s a universal problem affecting phones this year, it is probably the issue with their displays going green. We’ve heard of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 and S20 Ultra, as well as the OnePlus 8 Pro facing the issue. In addition to those, it looks like even a number of Apple iPhone models have fallen victim.

A number of complaints regarding the issue have surfaced on Reddit and the MacRumors forums. The affected iPhone models have a green tint on the display, which shows up under certain scenarios.

A common element is that they all last for only a few seconds after unlocking their phones. Some see it while Night Shift and Dark Mode are active. Others get the problem when brightness is at its minimum setting.

The most commonly affected model looks to be the iPhone 11, alongside its Pro and Pro Max models. That said, there have been reports of it also affecting the iPhone X. These affected phones were running the three most recent iOS updates, namely 13.4.1, 13.5 and 13.5.1.

For what it’s worth, the reports indicate that the problem fixes itself after a few seconds. While it’s not as bad as the phone staying green the whole time, it’s still not ideal. For affected users, here’s hoping the next iOS 13.5.5 update fixes this for good.
