Jack Ma Foundation To Donate Medical Supplies To Malaysia And Three Other ASEAN Countries
With the COVID-19 pandemic, face masks are in short supply, Even tech companies like Sharp and Razer are converting their facilities to making more. But it looks like more will come, and from quite the unexpected source: the Jack Ma Foundation.
The foundation announced on Twitter that it and the Alibaba Foundation will be donating a number of items to Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand. These include 2 million masks, 150,000 test kits, 20,000 protective suits and 20,000 face shields. The foundation also announced that it will be helping other Asian nations as well.

According to prior tweets, the Jack Ma Foundation has already sent aid to various other countries. They include France, Slovenia and Belgium, to which the foundation sent 1.5 million masks. Other countries like Spain and Italy have also received aid from the foundation.
In addition to medical supplies, the two foundations have also published and distributed a digital handbook relating to COVID-19. In it are the learnings and best practices from a Chinese hospital that had its doctors, nurses and staff at the frontline of the outbreak.
