Huawei P40 5G Appears In SIRIM Database

Last week, it was discovered that Huawei’s P40 Pro smartphone had received certification from SIRIM and MCMC, along with alleged news about its new main quad-camera module. Recently, it was discovered that the Huawei P40 5G was granted SIRIM certification just three days ago.

The device, bearing the model number ANA-NX9, is clearly listed as being a 5G device, but like most SIRIM certifications, there’s isn’t a detailed specifications sheet provided. More importantly, multiple sources have identified this device to be the P40 5G.

As a confirmation of sorts, the product detail is duplicated under another company, Zitron Enterprise (M) Sdn Bhd. For those who don’t know, Zitron Enterprise is the local distributor for several smartphone brands in Malaysia, including Huawei.

At this stage, there’s still not a whole lot of official details about the P40 5G. However, a recent tweet by leakster Ishan Agarwal (@ishanagarwal24) suggests that the phone will sport a 6.1-inch display, triple-camera sensor instead of a quad-camera module like the P40 Pro. Comprising a 50MP, 16MP, and an 8MP sensor, along with a maximum zoom of 30x. Further, the phone is expected to be powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 990 5G SoC.

In any case, Huawei’s big launch for the P40 series is just days away, so we’ll just have to wait and see if any of the details match up.

Thanks @KevinNGTK for the tips!
