How Businesses Can Generate Positive Buzz Online

You can’t put a price on excitement. Whether a business leader is looking to introduce a new product, service, or an entire company, generating buzz online can greatly increase engagement and sales. Unfortunately, creating an exciting atmosphere around your business is easier said than done. And that’s particularly true of today’s digital environment. After all, it’s never been more difficult to get –– and hold –– consumers’ attention online. Thankfully, it is still possible. Just make sure to follow these five steps:

Get Your Employees On Board

Say, for instance, that a company has three hundred followers on social media. If they post a video online, three hundred or so people will see it. Imagine now that each employee at that company shared that same video with all of their friends on their own personal social media accounts. How many more people could that company reach as a result? Hundreds? Even thousands? The answer will vary on a case-by-case basis, but when employees are excited about a new venture it really shows. Not only will they be more enthusiastic when interacting with customers, but they may also decide to promote your brand on their own time.

Tease

In order to build anticipation, you have to be willing to tease your audience a little bit. Consider releasing short posts that hint at a big announcement you plan on making. Or, select a few lucky customers to try out a new product or service before it hits the market and allow them to talk about it online. For example, positive pharmacy POS reviews from satisfied business owners could hold a lot of weight for other potential clients.

Engage

All businesses –– no matter their size or nature –– need to engage with customers online in order to build a relationship with them. Answer questions, volunteer info, and respond to what your customers are saying. In order to keep people interested in your message, you have to continually interact with them. Embrace your online community.

Try New Mediums

Of course, plenty of companies choose to advertise on Facebook and then basically ignore all other outlets. Yet, Facebook advertising isn’t the only way to get eyeballs on your content. Rather, consider trying out other platforms like Reddit, TikTok, Twitter, or LinkedIn. If you really want to think outside of the box, do something to catch the attention of a local news station. What happens on traditional media can have a ripple effect online.

Be Creative

Last, but certainly not least, business leaders who are looking to fire up their customer base have to be willing to take a few risks and get creative with their marketing strategy. Playing it safe isn’t going to give your business a boost. So hire talented professionals and let them work their magic!
