Huawei MateBook X Pro Receives A Refresh: Now Comes With 10th Gen Intel Core Chip

Along with the Mate Xs and MatePad Pro 5G, Huawei also took the time to announce its refreshed MateBook X Pro ultrabook. The successor to the 2018 MateBook X Pro, the new version of the notebook comes fitted improved hardware underneath the hood.

The MateBook X Pro is rocking Intel’s 10th generation Core CPUs. To that end, users have a choice between a Core i5-10210U or Core i7-10510U. It also comes with a discrete GPU, specifically, an NVIDIA GeForce MX250. Other specifications include 16GB LPDDR3 RAM, between 512GB or 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD, and 56Wh battery.

Beyond that, the new MateBook X Pro possesses a 13.9-inch touch display with a resolution of 3000 x 2000 pixels and a pixel density of 260 ppi. Just like its predecessor. Even the keyboard layout and trackpad are pretty much identical, right down to the pop-up camera that’s nestled within the former.

At the time of writing, Huawei didn’t specify when Malaysia would be getting a local launch for the MateBook X Pro, but did state that pricing for the machine will start from 1499 Euros (~RM6882) with the most premium variant retailing for 1999 Euros (~RM9177).

On a side note, Huawei also spoke briefly about the MateBook D 14 and D 15 notebooks. Technically, the MateBook D series has been around since last year, but like the MateBook X Pro, the series has also been given a refresh. Compared to the last generation, the new models come with either a 10th generation Intel CPU or an AMD Ryzen 5 CPU.

Pricing for the MateBook D 14 will start 699 Euros (~RM3209), while the D15 starts from 649 Euros (~RM2979). Once again, like the MateBook X Pro, there’s still no word on local availability.
