Nikon Reportedly Launching Two Entry-Level Z Series Cameras This Year

It’s been a while since we heard anything new from Nikon, especially regarding their Z series cameras. The most recent model, the Z50 (pictured above), was launched in Malaysia back in November of last year.

A recent Nikon Rumors report suggested that the company is allegedly planning to release two entry level Z-series mirrorless devices this year, the Nikon Z5 and Z30. The cameras are speculated to be launched within three months time, according to their sources.

The rumour is also backed by Japan-based industry leaker Nikoshita in a recent tweet. The leaker added that the company had recently registered two new cameras, labeled as N1929 and N1932, with a Russian certification authority. However details regarding the new devices are still scarce at this time.

Additionally, Nikon Rumors also mentioned that the camera maker is planning to release a professional-grade Z series camera – likely the Z8 or Z9 – in either late 2020 or early 2021.

If these rumours are accurate, there’s a slight chance that we might hear an official announcement from the brand themselves in the coming weeks. We will definitely keep you updated when that time comes.
