EA Access Coming Soon To Steam; More EA Titles Added
Last year in October, EA and Steam entered an agreement that allowed the latter’s users to subscribe to EA Access. The agreement also meant that more of the former’s games are made available on Steam. Now, More games have been made available, in what looks like the next step in launching EA Access on Steam.
EA Access itself doesn’t seem to have changed much, despite the increased promotion on Steam. The basic idea is still the same; you pay for a subscription that gets you perks equivalent to Origin Access Basic. No date has been announced yet, but it shouldn’t take too long now, considering the gap of over seven months since the initial announcement.
But for now, the games added to Steam is probably more important. Among them are Dragon Age 2, Dragon Age Inquistion, Need for Speed Heat, Burnout Paradise Remastered, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst and Crysis 3. Most of them also have massive discounts attached to them, ranging from 50% to 75%. The discounts also last until 9 July.
It looks like the bigger titles like Apex Legends and Battlefield V are still stuck behind EA’s Origin launcher. But for those who did not yet play the slightly older ones, them being available on Steam may be an incentive to finally give them a try.
