Casio Unveils G-Shock DW-6900 EVA-01 Limited Edition Watch

Casio had recently unveiled a limited edition G-Shock DW-6900 in collaboration with popular anime series Evangelion as part of its 25th anniversary celebration. The watch’s overall colour scheme pays tribute to the EVA-01 unit, a mecha piloted by the show’s main protagonist Shinji Ikari.

The G-Shock DW-6900 EVA-01 edition features a black resin base along with purple and neon green accents on its bezels and watch face. On the bands are purple spines resembling the ones found on the mecha itself, and on its back is a stainless steel plate featuring an intricate engraving of EVA-01.

Other than that, the watch features all of the standard functions already available on the regular DW-6900 model. These include stopwatch and timer capabilities, EL backlighting, shock resistance, 20 ATM water resistance, and 2 years of expected battery lifespan (replaceable).

The EVA-01 limited edition G-shock DW-6900 is available for pre-order via the official Evangelion Store and is priced at JPY22,000 (~RM876). The watch is expected to be shipped in early August and will come in a special Evangelion-themed packaging. Whether it will be available outside of Japan is yet unknown for now.
