LG V60 Thinq promo images point to four cameras and a 5000mAh battery
LG pulling out of MWC may have deprived us a first look at the company’s next flagship phone – but it might not be the one you’d expect. While historically the company has put out a G phone in February and a V handset towards the end of the year, the South Korean company seems to be mixing things up with the V60 Thinq set to take top billing.
The latest leak comes from Evan Blass, who shared a couple of images from an upcoming LG promo video of the V60 Thinq. There’s not a whole lot to go on – and no, it won’t be transparent as the picture above shows – but even with this x-ray style images, there’s plenty we can still ascertain.

For starters, LG is clearly keen to highlight the four microphones embedded in the handset. For another, there’s a 5000mAh battery and a quad-camera array. Another eagle-eyed tweeter spotted a headphone jack, which was confirmed in a second image shared by Blass.
That’s about all we can get from the image, though. That said, flagship Android devices have an awful lot in common with each other, so it would be thoroughly surprising if the device weren’t sporting a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor paired with at least 8GB RAM. Earlier rumours also pointed to a screen that’s somewhere between 6.7- and 6.9-inches across the diameter.

So what of the LG G series? Well, possibly nothing. One rumour heard by Android Police’s David Ruddock is that the LG G family might be set for the chopping board as the company seeks a radical change of direction to make itself a relevant player in the smartphone world again.
That could involve a whole new smartphone line emerging later in the year when the V range typically gets a refresh. We’ll just have to wait and see…
