AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT Officially Available In Malaysia

AMD’s Radeon RX 5600 XT graphics card has officially arrived on our shores. The new card comes just a month after the launch of the RX 5500 XT and is a slightly beefier alternative to card in regards to Full HD gaming.

Specs-wise, the 5600 XT is only available in one graphics memory configuration, which is 6GB GDDR6. Additionally, it has 36 Compute Units, 2304 Stream Processors, a base clock of 1375MHz, and a boost clock of 1560MHz. On the subject of power consumption, the card is a little bit more demanding than the 5500 XT at 150W, but it’s just a mere 20W more so it’s not really that big a gap.

Before you ask, yes: like the RX 5500 XT and 5700 XT, the RX 5600 XT is built around AMD’s RDNA GPU architecture, as well as a 7nm die lithography. Of course, like all current Radeon GPUs, it is also built to support the latest PCIe 4.0 interface.

In terms of price, AMD says that the recommended retail pricing for the Radeon RX 5600 XT starts from RM1200, but will differ depending on its board partner. On that note, AMD won’t be releasing a reference version of the card, meaning that it’ll only be purchasable with a brand’s custom-cooling solution attached to it.

As a quick reference, ASUS’ ROG Strix Radeon RX 5500 XT retails for RM1599 and comes with a 3+1 years warranty. Gigabyte’s also got its RX 5600 XT Gaming OC model, and that retails for RM1539. Gigabyte tells us that it also has Windforce variant in the pipeline, although it wasn’t able to confirm its price with us.
