Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Trailer Reactions – Fans Lose Their Minds and Cry

The final trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is out and fans (myself included) are now sitting in a pool of our own tears. The Rise of Skywalker is the final film in what is billed as the ‘Skywalker Saga’, the epic nine-chapter story (10 if you count Rogue One) spanning three generations. While there will be more Star Wars films to come, this will truly mark the end of an era.

There’s an enormous amount of pressure on director JJ Abrams’ shoulders, who not only has to make a great film, not only has to tie up all nine films but also provide a fitting finale that unites all three generations of Star Wars fans. It’s a daunting task, especially since The Last Jedi — whether you love the film or not — drove a wedge through the Star Wars fandom. But if the final trailer is anything to go by, it’s going to be one emotionally overwhelming piece of cinema.
