Blizzard Pull Destiny 2 From Battle.NET Launcher Ahead Of Steam Launch

Come 2 October (that’s tomorrow, by the way), Destiny 2 will officially be playable on Steam. In preparation of its grand relaunching, the game has already been taken off from the Activision Blizzard’s Battle.net launcher.

For players who still have the game installed via Battle.net, Destiny 2 will still be listed on the platform, but only the “Uninstall” will be seen on the front. Upon choosing to uninstall the game, the title will no longer be listed on the page.

Destiny 2 has been removed from Battle.net.

Earlier this year, Bungie terminated its partnership with Activision after nearly a decade of working together. Bungie announced that it would still retain the rights to Destiny 2. It wasn’t until June this year that the video game developer announced that it would be re-launching the game on Steam.

To entice Destiny 2 players to continue playing, Bungie has made the base game plus all expansions released prior to the migration free-to-play. However, the upcoming expansion, Shadowkeep, will need to be purchased. The expansion retails from RM138 for the standard edition, while the Deluxe edition that contains all the latest season pass and special items retails for RM234.
