Intel Xe Integrated GPU Reportedly On Par With NVIDIA GeForce MX350
While Intel is still being coy about a launch date for its upcoming Tiger Lake mobile processor, the rumour mill has still been hard at work in giving us information about it. Recently, a new rumour suggests that the CPU’s Xe integrated GPU is reportedly on par with NVIDIA’s GeForce MX350.
According to a tweet by _rogame (@_rogame), the alleged Tiger Lake Core i7-1165G7 with its Intel Xe GPU was spotted running on a Lenovo ThinkPad laptop. Specs-wise, the integrated graphics module comes with 96 Execution Units (EUs), runs at 1.3GHz, and supports LPDDR4x RAM at frequencies of 4266Mhz.

By comparison, the GeForce MX350 is powered by five streaming multiprocessors (SMs), has 640 shader units, 32 texture mapping units, and a base clock of 1354MHz. Additionally, the GPU itself is based off NVIDIA’s older Pascal architecture, yet the Tiger Lake’s performance is ever so slightly faster than the old discrete GPU.
The supposed numbers and specs are a bit difficult for us to swallow, partly because it runs contra to an earlier report. Where Ryan Shrout, Chief Performance Strategist at Intel, gave a brief demonstration of a Tiger Lake actually running Battlefield V – one of the most graphically intensive titles on the current market – at Full HD resolution and using the second-highest graphics preset.
On that note, this could very mean that Intel’s Xe integrated GPU may be available in tiers and different SKUs, in the same AMD and NVIDIA offer different graphics cards with varying performance specifications and at different price points. Unfortunately, we can’t say for certain that that is the case.
