Analysts: iPhone 12 May Not Come With A Charger
As we get closer to September which is the usual time of the year for Apple to announce a new iPhone, you can expect to hear more rumours and predictions about the iPhone 12. Just earlier this week, analysts from the well-known British financial company, Barclays has made a rather unusual comment regard the next-generation iPhone.
According to the research note that has been scrutinized by MacRumors, Barclays analysts have received information that Apple may not include a charger alongside the upcoming iPhone 12 models although a USB Type-C to Lightning cable will still be present inside the box. At the same time, they also pointed out that the new devices will not come with EarPods which is something that has also been noted by the well-known Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

While the decision to omit the wired earphones is understandable given the popularity of wireless earbuds these days including Apple’s own AirPods line-up, not providing a charger to user sounds rather absurd. The information also contradicts the recent appearance of a 20W USB Type-C charger that apparently will be rolled out alongside iPhone 12 although it is not clear whether all models will receive it or limited to the Pro variants similar to the existing 18W charger.
MacRumors further pointed out that Barclays analysts also mentioned the production delay for iPhone 12 which is something that has been rumoured before. Just like what we have heard before, the analysts said that Apple may proceed with iPhone 12’s announcement in September but actual availability of the new device will only be in October or November.
As always, the accuracy of the details mentioned above can only be confirmed once Apple has officially announced iPhone 12. So, for now, you might want to just take note of them with a pinch of salt.
