Facebook Now Tells You If You Are About To Share Old News Article
Content sharing is the cornerstone of Facebook experience for many users throughout the world. Hence, it is not surprising to see that the social network company constantly trying to increase its credibility.
Starting from today, the company has rolled out a new notification which would inform users if they trying to share a news article that is more than 90 days old. The update is gradually being made available throughout the world as we speak.
The move is generally a follow up to the context button that Facebook implemented in 2018 which provides additional details regarding a news article. Among those details include brief information about the publisher, related articles, and locations of where the article has already been shared.
However, this does not mean Facebook is going to restrict you from sharing old news article though since the notification will still allow you to share it. So, in the end, you still need to be vigilant when reading news on Facebook to make sure that you did not misinterpret it too quickly.
