WhatsApp Beta Update: Now You Can Add Contact by Scanning Profile QR Code
WhatsApp everyday tries to experiment and implement a new and improved feature/functionality. As we all know WhatsApp pushes a new update every day or every alternative day. A new beta update in the iOS stream suggests that FACEBOOK owned WhatsApp is working on a new feature i.e., a new Profile QR Code system. This is very similar to the Snapchat feature that will make it easy for users to add new contacts just by scanning the QR codes.
The news came up from WABetaInfo, and consistent with them, the feature to feature contacts using QR codes will appear under the settings profile. Sharing the QR code will allow a user to let anyone add them to their contacts. to feature a contact, there’ll be a choice to scan the QR code and therefore the contact is going to be added to WhatsApp directly.
The first change may be a rather minor one that simply allows you to feature contacts to your WhatsApp list by scanning a QR code, potentially avoiding the pain of contacts not being properly pulled in from your phone’s contacts list. The second update is more significant because it adds end-to-end encryption to WhatsApp chat backups in Apple’s iCloud.
If WhatsApp decides to travel ahead and include the feature in an upcoming update to its public iOS app, authorities, hackers, and even Apple are going to be excluded from reading your unencrypted text messages. The update would improve the end-to-end encryption available from WhatsApp to messages being stored in iCloud. And at an equivalent time, WhatsApp is functioning on equivalent protection for its chat backups on Android.
This new feature is basically getting to be an improvement and is probably going to exchange the present method to feature contacts to WhatsApp. The new feature also will save time. The feature to feature contacts using QR codes goes to be helpful for WhatsApp Business users and for those that had to feature tons of latest contacts frequently. So, they’re going to be ready to add contacts to WhatsApp quickly.
As for the general public launch of the QR code feature, there’s no word on when this feature might roll call at the stable build. WhatsApp has had an erratic history with beta features, and while some features have made it to the stable builds quite swiftly, others, like the much-hyped Dark Mode, took rather look to return out of beta. Reports further suggest that the QR code scanning feature of WhatsApp can also allude to the multi-device account support that’s expected soon, which can even be coming soon.
