Galaxy Book Flex: Samsung finally launches QLED convertible in UK

Samsung laptops are back in the UK and they’re making some noise. Samsung’s new Galaxy Book Flex, Galaxy Book Ion and Galaxy Book S (Intel) are set to hit the shelves next month. 

The Flex is Samsung’s latest Ultrabook focused on creators – both inside and out. The Flex comes with a stylus and has a convertible design, perfect for aspiring digital artists out there.

The specs are quite impressive too, putting it toe-to-toe with devices like the Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 and HP Spectre x360 13. Along with a pleasing combo of a 10th Gen Intel Core i5 processor, 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD storage, creators will also be delighted to see Samsung use its famed QLED displays – usually seen on its televisions.

Samsung Galaxy Book Flex release date – When is it coming out?

Samsung’s Flex will be available from early June in the UK.

This device – along with the rest of the new lineup – is more widely available than previous generations of UK-released Samsung laptops. You’ll be able to pick it up from retailers like Amazon, Dixons Retail, John Lewis and more.

The Flex has one size, one model and, consequently, one price – coming in at £1349 in the UK.

Samsung Galaxy Book Flex performance

Samsung isn’t offering a whole lot of variety when it comes to its new UK laptop releases – offering just one version of specs across each model (not counting different sizes).

However, for both the Flex and the Ion, Samsung seems to have made the right decision in picking this single SKU for consumers. The specs of the Flex are a pleasing combo of a good amount of power and storage for a pretty sensible price. You’ll have to wait for our full review for the lowdown on if they made the correct decision.

The Flex gets the benefit of the Ice Lake version of Intel’s 10th Gen mobile processor – which means it’ll come with superior graphics compared to that of the Comet Lake processor of the Galaxy Book Ion. 

This inclusion along with the stylus and convertible design make this the Samsung laptop to get for creators. However, bear in mind that this laptop is without a dedicated GPU so professional video editing and design work will remain out of the question.
