Xiaomi Unveils Mi 10 Youth Edition: Comes With Snapdragon 765G and 50X Zoom Camera

Xiaomi today has announced another new model for its Mi 10 series in the form of the Mi 10 Youth Edition. At a glance, the phone might look identical to the Mi 10 Lite that the company revealed last month in Europe.

In fact, both phones shared plenty of characteristics based on their specifications including Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor, 6.57-inch AMOLED display, LPDDR4X RAM, and UFS 2.1-based internal storage. They are also equipped with 4160mAh battery and 48MP main camera as well as a 16MP selfie camera inside the same teardrop-shaped notch.

However, the Mi 10 Youth Edition that was launched in China today is equipped with an 8MP periscope telephoto camera that able to zoom at up to 50x. This is something that is not present on the Mi 10 Lite, as you can see from the differences between the camera modules of both phones.

The Mi 10 Youth Edition also features another 8MP ultra wide-angle camera as well as a dedicated macro camera. As for Mi 10 Lite, Xiaomi has not yet to officially revealed the details for the other three rear cameras on the phone.

On another hand, the periscope camera on Mi 10 Youth Edition has a square-shaped structure.

Pricewise, the Mi 10 Youth Edition with 6GB RAM starts at RMB 2,099 (~RM 1,291) for the variant with 64GB internal storage while the model with 128GB storage goes for RMB 2,299 (~RM 1,414). There is also the Mi 10 Youth Edition with 8GB RAM which is priced at RMB 2499 (~RM 1,539) for the 128GB model and RMB 2799 (~RM 1,723) for those who prefer more storage at 256GB.
