You Can Donate Blood Between 10AM And 10PM During MCO
One natural effect of the Movement Control Order (MCO) is the lack of people donating blood. The National Blood Bank is currently experiencing a decline in blood supply as a result. To remedy this, members of the public will be allowed to donate blood during this time.
Senior Minister (Security Cluster), Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced that the government will allow blood donors to head to hospitals and health clinics. That said, there’s still only a time window when this is permissible. This is between the hours of 10AM and 10PM.

The blood supply of the National Blood Bank has dropped by 33% since the enactment of the MCO. The National Blood Centre has requested that it be allowed to operate, and that people be allowed to donate, which resulted in the announcement.
For those who are looking to donate blood during this time, this is the official green light to do so. You can also check out the National Blood Bank’s Facebook page to find out if you can make the donation anywhere near you.
