Two Buildings In Jalan Masjid India Are Now Under COVID-19 Lockdown

The government today has announced that two flats in Jalan Masjid India at Kuala Lumpur have been put under lockdown through the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO). This is the fourth EMCO order after it was imposed on certain areas at Simpang Renggam and Hulu Langat as well as Menara City One which is just few kilometres away from Jalan Masjid India.

According to Ministry of Health, it has detected 15 positive COVID-19 cases within Selangor Mansion and Malayan Mansion over there. Located adjacent to each other, EMCO is being imposed on both buildings starting from today onward until further notice.

At this moment, authorities have begun further testing on the residence of both buildings which involved total of 5,000 to 6,000 people throughout 365 residential units and business premises. As per previous EMCO implementation at Menara City One, no one is permitted to go in and out of both buildings, but food deliveries are still allowed to be sent to a predetermined pickup area while shops that sell essential items are also allowed to be operational.

Meanwhile, we urge everyone to practice good hygiene and stay home as much as possible during the on-going MCO period. Right now, this is the best way so far for us to help stop the spread of COVID-19 pandemic together.
