Zoo Negara Now Accepts Donations Online Via Ticket2u

Last week, Zoo Negara started seeking donations to fund its operating costs. The national zoo is struggling, since no tickets can be sold during the Movement Control Order (MCO). Since then, the zoo has opened up a new avenue for donations, via Ticket2u.

In addition to the new way to donate, Zoo Negara also added a couple of new donation tiers. In addition to the RM50, RM100, RM200 and RM500 tiers from before, you can now choose to donate RM25, RM400, RM700, RM900 or even RM1000 at a time. Though it should be noted that donations made via Ticket2u is subject to a RM1 processing fee.

Rosly Ahmat Lana, the deputy president of Zoo Negara, previously said that it is currently running on its emergency funds. While contractors are still delivering food to keep the animals well fed, the emergency funds can only sustain this for three months. As such the national zoo is in desperate need to get funding to keep the animals looked after.

Those who are looking to donate to Zoo Negara can visit the Ticket2u link above. It’s definitely an easier and more straight forward approach than before. You can also find out more by visiting its official website.
