Google Builds Teach From Home Hub With Ministry Of Education

Google has announced the Teach from Home hub, a distance learning resource hub, with the help of our Minstry of Education (MOE). The company hopes this will allow educators to continue their work in spite of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Movement Control Order (MCO).

The internet search giant acknowledges that teaching in a new way can be stressful in an already stressful time. Google hopes the Teach from Home hub will help educators learn of ways to teach remotely more easily. The material available ranges from guidelines for conducting classes with or without video capability, to tips on keeping students engaged.

Also, the company is also making the premium features of Google Meet video conferencing free for schools until 30 September 2020. This includes the ability to have 250 people to be in a single call, livestreaming for up to 100,000 viewers. You can also record your lessons to Google Drive.
