WhatsApp Reportedly Working On Multi-Device Support
WhatsApp is undoubtedly one of the world’s most popular messaging app, boasting more than two billion monthly users. Sadly, the app is severely limited by its inability to be simultaneously active on more than one device at a time. The good news is that multi-device support may be coming soon, if a recent discovery is to be believed.
Signs of the upcoming multiple device support were found in the latest WhatsApp beta version 2.20.110 and posted on WABetaInfo. The group had supposedly made the discovery back in November last year, and seemed to function on both iOS and the Android OS.

Unfortunately, how the feature actually works remains a mystery; the group had managed to trigger different event messages that popped up whenever a member’s E2E security code changed, but even then. No further indication regarding the app’s upcoming mechanics seemed to be clear.
Whatever the case, the ability to be active on more than one device would be a welcome, if not necessary feature. Telegram, a directly competing messaging app, has long supported the feature. Despite having approximately 1/10th of WhatsApp’s current monthly users.
