Third Gen iPad Air Receives Free Service Program To Address Blank Screen Issue
Apple recently has announced a free service program for the third-generation iPad Air which the company launched back in March 2019. The tablet then made its way to Malaysia in early April alongside the fifth-generation iPad Mini.
The service program which is applicable throughout including Malaysia is meant to address the blank screen issue on the device. According to Apple, a brief flicker or flash would appear on the affected units before their screen goes blank permanently.
Apple has determined that the affected units were manufactured between March and October 2019. Unlike the previous service program for the iPhone 6s and mid-2015 MacBook Pro Retina in which the affected units can be determined via serial number, owners must check directly with their nearest Apple Authorized Service Provider (AASP) to known whether their units need to be serviced or otherwise.
As mentioned earlier, eligible devices will receive the service to fix the black screen issue for free under this program. To find and schedule an appointment with an AASP near you, head on to Apple Malaysia’s official website right here.
