Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro Takes Top Spot On DXOMARK With 124 Points

The Xiaomi Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro were recently officially announced in China. At around the same time, smartphone camera benchmark site DXOMARK has given the latter the new high score of 124. This pushes it to the top beyond the company’s own Mi Note 10 Pro, known also as the Mi CC9 Pro.

Winning the Mi 10 Pro the highest score of 124 on DXOMARK is its quad camera setup. This consists of a 108MP main camera, a 20MP ultra-wide lens, a 12MP telephoto lens, and an 8MP unit with 10x hybrid zoom.

Despite overtaking the Mi Note 10 Pro, DXOMARK says that the shots from both phones are quite similar. What gave the Mi 10 Pro the edge was the more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset. This gave the Mi 10 Pro better results with high-contrast shots, as well as low-light conditions. Though it still occasionally has issues with focusing on faces.

Neither the Xiaomi Mi 10 nor the Mi 10 Pro have been announced outside of its home country China as of yet. The initial plan was to debut the two phones globally during MWC 2020. Unfortunately, event organiser GSMA announced yesterday that it is calling off the event.
