OPPO Find X2 May Face Supply Issues After Launch
OPPO is moving ahead with its launch of the Find X2 during MWC 2020. While the launch is one thing, it looks like the phone may be in short supply in its early stages.
Company vice president Brian Shen posted on Weibo, essentially saying that the novel coronavirus outbreak in China will affect the production of the OPPO Find X2. Even if a single part of the entire production line is affected, the whole process will be slowed down. Initial supply of the device will be limited as a result.
Shen said that the health and safety of its employees are the company’s top priority. Which is fair, and the company is already taking a risk with it not pulling out of MWC 2020 like other brands are doing.
This is my kind of ‘Flagship’ 🤓

📺 2k Resolution
😋 240Hz Sampling

On a more cheerful note, Shen Tweeted about what he says is his “kind of ‘Flagship'”. Some of these have already been confirmed to be part of the OPPO Find X2 spec sheet. With that being the case, this can be seen as a more complete list. The first two items, Shen himself has shared on Weibo before.
The OPPO Find X2 will be launching on 22 February 2020. It remains to be seen when it will actually enter the market, and what would its availability be like given the production issues.
