Does the Galaxy S20 have wireless charging?

Thinking about picking up a new Galaxy S20, but unsure if it’ll work with your spiffy wireless charger?

Well you’re in luck as we’ve created a definitive guide answer the key question: do the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus and Galaxy S20 Ultra support wireless charging.

The Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus and Galaxy S20 Ultra all support wireless charging. This is a key selling point for the new phones that will make it quick and easy for buyers to top up their charge using a compatible pad.

The company sells official pads on the Samsung store, though most third party wireless charge stations will also work with the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus and Galaxy S20 Ultra.

The three new phones were all unveiled at Samsung’s Unpacked event earlier this week. The phones replace last year’s Galaxy S10 line as Samsung’s new range of flagship smartphones.

All three handsets feature a wealth of new hardware and technical upgrades. These include a move to a newer, 5G ready chipset, improved rear camera setups and new super fast 120Hz refresh AMOLED screens.

We haven’t had long enough with any of the new phones to offer a definitive verdict. But our opening impressions of the Galaxy S20 family were positive, when we had an opening play with them at the event. You can get a more thorough breakdown of our opening impressions in our Galaxy S20 review hands-on.

The Galaxy S20 is one of many new family of phones expected to launch in the coming months. Huawei is expected to unveil its new P40 line of phones in the near future. The phones are expected to be the first to run Huawei’s custom OS.

The firm was forced to stop using Android after an executive order from the US White House forced Google to cut off Huawei’s software license. This means future Huawei phones will not have access to key services, like the Google Play Store.
