Samsung Ships More Than 6.7 Million Galaxy 5G Devices In 2019

Even though 5G networks are only available in certain countries, it seems that Samsung already able to gain significant benefit from them. The Korean giant today has announced that it managed to ship more than 6.7 million 5G variant of its Galaxy 5G devices in 2019.

This was achieved with only five devices including Galaxy S10 5G, Galaxy Note10 5G, Galaxy Note10+ 5G, Galaxy A90 5G, and Galaxy Fold 5G. Citing a report by Counterpoint Research, Samsung apparently covers 53.9% of global 5G smartphone market share up till November 2019.

Naturally, Samsung is already working to bring more 5G devices into the market in 2020. One such device that the company has confirmed is the new Galaxy Tab S6 5G which is coming to South Korea within this market.

As far as the company is concerned, 2020 will be the year of Galaxy 5G according the President and Head of R&D for Samsung Electronics, TM Roh. Now, let’s see what kind of 5G device that Samsung will unveiled to consumers throughout this year.
