Nintendo Switch Gets An Animal Crossing Special Edition
The Nintendo Switch will be home to an upcoming Animal Crossing game, called New Horizons. And to go with the occasion, the company has announced a new special edition for the handheld console. There are some themed accessories to go with it as well.
But first off, the main Nintendo Switch comes in the usual black colouring, but the back comes with some extra textures that will be familiar to those who are fans of the Animal Crossing series. The two accompanying Joy-Cons also come with two different pastel colours. It also comes with a special dock, with the colours of the Joy-Cons and prints of what looks like Tom Nook, Timmy and Tommy.

Sold separately is the Aloha Edition carrying case, which also comes with a screen protector. Can’t imagine the latter being anything fancy, but the former certainly is, in its own way. It comes with the same soft pastel colours, but with leaf prints all over it. It also looks like it will be able to fit both the regular Switch, as well as the Switch Lite.
The Nintendo Switch Animal Crossing: New Horizons special edition is priced at US$299.99 (~RM1226) and will be available starting 13 March. The carrying case will also be available on the same day, but Nintendo didn’t announce a price for it. The game itself, will be available a week later, on 20 March 2020. Oddly enough, the special edition Switch doesn’t come with it, as you’d usually expect.
