All 51 Euro 2020 Matches Will Be Available In 4K UHD on Astro Ultra Box

During the launch of Astro Ultra Box last November, Astro has also announced that it will broadcast the upcoming UEFA Euro 2020 in 4K through its new box. However, not much detail was revealed at the time regarding the broadcast until yesterday.

In a brief announcement, Astro has revealed that complimentary access to Euro 2020 broadcast will be provided to customers that maintain or obtain active Sports Pack subscription before 15 May 2020. They will be able to watch the tourney in 4K and HD as well as through Astro GO app.

Through a response to our query, Astro has also further clarified that all 51 matches of Euro 2020 can indeed be viewed in 4K; not just selected matches. However, the company not able to confirm at this stage whether there will be dedicated 4K channels for the event since all of Astro 4K contents are currently being shown only on a single channel which is the Astro UHD channel 780.

That being said, given that some of the matches will take place at the same time especially in the early stages of tournament, dedicated channels are a must if Astro want to show every single Euro 2020 matches in 4K. Hence, expect additional announcements from Astro regarding Euro 2020 coming your way soon.
