Acer Debuts 55-Inch 4K OLED Predator CG552K Monitor; Priced At USD2999

Acer has unveiled the Predator CG552K gaming monitor. And it’s so large, it may as well be called a TV. But it’s definitely still a gaming monitor, as it comes with all the bells and whistles you’d expect from one.

The Acer Predator CG552K measures in at 55 inches, and its OLED display comes with 4K resolution. And to drive home the fact that it’s still a gaming monitor, it also has a 120Hz refresh rate and a 0.5ms response time. It also comes with three HDMI 2.0 ports, two DisplayPort 1.4, a USB-C port, as well as two USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 ports.

In addition to all that, the Acer Predator CG552K also comes with two 10W speakers built in. It also has light sensors to automatically adjust its brightness level to match the lighting of the room it’s in. And finally, the massive gaming monitor is also Nvidia G-Sync compatible.

Acer Predator X38

Beyond the 55 inch display, the company has announced two other gaming monitors that are also on the large side. One is the Acer Predator X38 curved monitor. It measures in at 37.5 inches with a UWQHD+ (3840 x 1600) resolution, and has a 2300R curve. It can also achieve up to 175Hz refresh rate, with a 1ms response time. Its stand also allows the tilting and swiveling of the display, as well as the adjusting of its height, to a position that’s just right for you.

Acer Predator X32

The smallest of the lot is the Acer Predator X32 which, as the name suggests, is a 32-inch monitor. The highlight of this monitor is its support for Nvidia G-Sync Ultimate. This means that, in addition to the usual G-Sync features, it also supports HDR, and is capable of brightness levels of over 1000 nits. Specifically, the Predator X32 has as maximum brightness of 1440 nits. Fittingly, it also comes with a 144Hz refresh rate.

Acer says that the Predator CG552K will be available in Q3 of 2020, starting from US$2999 (~RM12320). As for the Acer Predator X38, it will be available in April, with prices starting from US$2399 (~RM9855). The smallest of the three, the Acer Predator X32, also happens to be the priciest, available from Q2 of 2020 onwards for US$3599 (~RM14785). All that said, it’s still unclear if these availability and pricing details apply to our shores.
