MSI Reportedly Launching Creator 17 Notebook With Mini LED Display At CES 2020

CES 2020 is just weeks out and like clockwork, information about upcoming products have begun making their way online. In the case of MSI, a leak is suggesting that the brand will be announcing a new Creator 17 notebook, complete with “revolutionary technology”.

For context, Mini LED displays are more commonly found in some TVs. The leak, which comes by way of KitGuru, suggests that the Creator 17 will be sporting a new Mini LED display that will enable the mobile machine to have top-notch and true-to-life colour accuracy. A feature that many notebook makers have strived for with their respective machines.

On that note, the Mini LED of the Creator 17 will allegedly have a peak brightness of 1000 nits, as well as 250 zones of local dimming to enable brighter whites and deeper blacks. Further, the notebook’s display will also have, unsurprisingly, 4K resolution plus a 100% DCI-P3 wide colour gamut.

Beyond that, there’s not a whole lot else about the rest of its hardware, but at this point, it’s likely that MSI will be fitting the Creator 17 with all the accompanying bells and whistles fit for a notebook of this stature.
