HMD Global Unveils Nokia C1; A New Android 9 Go Phone

HMD Global has announced a new Android Go phone in the form of the Nokia C1. It has quite a few things in common with another phone from the brand, the Nokia 1 Plus.

To start, the Nokia C1 comes with a 5.45-inch FWVGA IPS display, an unnamed quad core 1.3GHz chipset, and 1GB OF RAM. It has 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable by 64GB via microSD. All this is powered by a 2500mAh battery.

As you’d expect from an Android Go phone, the phone is more on the modest side when it comes to cameras. It features a 5MP shooter at the back, and another 5MP camera in front.

The Nokia C1 supports dual sim, but not 4G LTE. This may have something to do with the fact that the phone is aimed at emerging markets. According to GSMArena, the phone launched in Kenya for KES6000 (~RM245). It will soon be launched in Kenya and other countries, but no word if Malaysia is in the list.
