GrabMart Is Now On Trial In Klang Valley: Provides On-Demand Grocery Delivery Service
Grab Malaysia has announced the trial of the new GrabMart service in Malaysia. While it might be new to our market, Grab has actually made it available for Thailand back in August.
Given the name, you might have able to guess what GrabMart is all about. According to the information provided by Grab Malaysia, GrabMart provides users with the ability to order goods such as grocery items, fruits, healthy & beauty products, and many more.
Among companies that already offering their service through GrabMart include Guardian, Caring, MyNews, MBG, MPH, BIG Pharmacy, Kiara Supermarket, and Utama Florist.
For now, GrabMart is currently still in the trial phase, which explains its limited availability which covers only selected areas within Klang Valley such as Damansara Uptown, Bandar Utama, Kota Damansara, Mutiara Damansara, Mont Kiara, and Hartamas.
In terms of delivery fees, Grab Malaysia stated that it ranges from RM 5 to RM 9. To utilize it, just click on the GrabMart icon within the Food section of your Grab app.
Technically, this is not Grab’s first attempt to provide groceries delivery service. Back in 2018, the company has attempted this through GrabFresh which was done in partnership with HappyFresh but things went rather quiet not long after that. Then again, HappyFresh has its own battles to confront within the past few months which include the closure of two markets and a rebranding exercise.
