Stripe Now Officially in Malaysia; Unveils Online Banking Support Through FPX
Local companies now have a new option when it comes to online payment system as Stripe has officially opened its door in Malaysia. In addition to its Payments platform, Malaysian companies are also able to access other Stripe technologies starting from today onwards.
Among them is Radar which allows businesses to take advantage of Stripe’s machine learning capability in order to detect and avoid frauds. Other than that, there is also the Billing platform which helps businesses to set recurring billing such as periodical subscription fee with ease. There is also Connect that enable businesses to implement a payment system to specially suit their business models such as marketplaces, crowdfunding, travel, and many more.
At the same time, Stripe has also announced that it has implemented online banking support for local banks through the integration of PayNet’s FPX within its system. With support for more than 135 currencies, Stripe payment system also accepts Visa and MasterCard payment cards.
While the official launch only took place today, Stripe has actually been testing its system here in Malaysia since January this year. Hence, quite a number of well-known companies are already using its solution including Grab, FashionValet, dahmakan, SOCAR Malaysia, and EasyStore.
With a user interface that is optimized for both desktop and mobile devices, Stripe proudly proclaimed that businesses are able to set up its system and begin accepting payments within minutes. For more information, check out Stripe’s official website right here.
