Google Pixel 4 Motion Sense Will Reportedly Work With Multiple Apps At Launch

Google’s Pixel 4 launch event is just a couple weeks out. At this point, we more or less know what to expect from the phone in terms of its hardware, software, and features such as its own gesture mode, otherwise known as Motion Sense. On that note, the feature will reportedly work with several apps out of the box.

According XDA, Motion Sense will work with a total of nine apps out of the box, with an additional 14 apps to be added upon the first update for the feature. The nine primary apps are listed below:

  • Amazon Music
  • Deezer
  • Google Play Music
  • iHeartRadio
  • Pandora
  • Spotify
  • Spotify Stations
  • YouTube Music
  • YouTube

On a side note, it’s not susprising to see YouTube Music on that list and not Google Play Music. We know that Google is planning on slow phasing out the Google Play Music app with YouTube Music, we just weren’t expecting such an aggressive push from the search engine, and most certainly not this soon.

Beyond controlling the flow of your tracks via gesture, it’s also been rumoured that Motion Sense will be embedded into other functionalities of the Pixel 4. Such as silencing calls or to simply check notifications and time.
