Apple Has A Prototype iPhone With No Notch
The iPhone X may be one of the phones that popularised the notch. But Apple is rumoured to be getting rid of it as well. The company has a prototype notchless iPhone that will supposedly be released next year.
Leaker and concept artist Ben Geskin created a rough concept visualising said phone. Interestingly, despite the lack of a notch, it still comes with all the sensors that you’ll find in one. They all sit in the thin bezels at the top.
And it’s an impressive number of sensors in it as well, for a bezel so thin. The visual describes the bezel as housing the infrared sensor, flood illuminator, proximity sensor and ambient light sensor. This is in addition to the speaker, microphone, front camera and dot projector.
All that said, it’s important to remember that this is not necessarily what the actual prototype looks like. So it’s best to take it all with a pinch of salt.
