Exynos Powered Samsung Galaxy Note 9 Appears In FCC Filing

A listing for the international version of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has appeared on American FCC for certification; indicating that the device drawing to a very close release. The Exynos powered version of Samsung’s devices are usually certified in America before the US specific Qualcomm versions. So this arrangement is not exactly unusual.

The presumed Galaxy Note 9 was spotted with the model number SM-N960F. A numbering that follows that established by the Note 7 (SM-N930) and the Note 8 (SM-N950). The -F suffix indicates the international version, while the US version should appear later with a -U suffix.

This listing doesn’t quite shed too much light on what the Galaxy Note 9 will be like. All it does it list the wireless connectivity of the device. In this case, revealing that it will be compatible with Malaysian LTE connections. Not that anyone suspected otherwise.

The phone itself is rumoured to have smaller bezels than before, up to 8GB of RAM plus up to 512GB of internal storage, the Exynos 9810 as its SoC, possibly bigger battery and of course, Bixby.

Unconfirmed rumours have the Unpacked event for the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 to be held in New York in August; which is a whole month earlier than it was last year. The FCC listing has certainly added fuel to the rumour, but the actual date is far from certain.
