Tourisme Montréal has released an app that helps travelers explore the city
Montréal’s official tourism department, Tourisme Montréal, has released a new app that is designed to help visitors experience the city.
The app is called My official Montréal CityGuide and it’s packed full of helpful travel hotspots and maps.
When users first start the app, it presents them with a few options on how they’d like to structure their visit to the city. There are options for couples getaways, family vacations, business trips and more. From there, users are prompted to choose the dates that they’ll be in the city.
Once the trip profile and dates are set up, the app displays a list of events that are going on in the city during your timeframe. Users can also use this screen to search for restaurants and other travel destinations.
There is also a map of the city with multiple points of interest to help visitors plan their itinerary.
Users can also save events, restaurants and locations to their favourites section so they can keep track of all the stuff they want to do.
The app uses machine learning to give personalized results to travels based on other items that they have liked or visited while using the app.
The app is available for free on Android and iOS here.
