Retro Studios is reportedly working on Star Fox Grand Prix for the Nintendo Switch
While we already knew renowned developer Retro Studios isn’t working on Metroid Prime 4, it looks like the Texas-based video game developer is creating a new Star Fox title dubbed Star Fox Grand Prix for the Nintendo Switch, according to new leaks.
The rumour, which admittedly looks a little sketchy, was first posted by Reddit user ‘DasVergeben’ on Star Fox’s dedicated subreddit. The game is tipped to be more akin to F-Zero than a traditional Star Fox title, hence the ‘Grand Prix’ portion of the game’s name.
These means that rather than being a space combat shooter, Star Fox Grand Prix is more likely to fall into the racing game genre.

An alleged image of the game’s logo also recently appeared on 4Chan.
Retro most recently dropped Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze for the Nintendo Switch, a re-release of the original Wii U version of the game that dropped back in 2014.
The last Star Fox game was the underwhelming Star Fox Zero for the Wii U. The game was criticized for its brief length, structural similarities to past entries in the series and awkward Wii U Gamepad controls.
