MSI To Debut Radeon RX Mech 2 Graphics Cards Series At Computex 2018

Recent reports have suggested that MSI will be debuting its RX Mech 2 series of graphics cards during the upcoming Computex 2018 expo. The RX Mech 2 is allegedly made by MSI to counter Nvidia’s GeForce Partner Program; which is now defunct. Oddly however, the company’s RX Mech 2 series only consists of two RX 500-series graphics card at the time of writing – no Vega based-graphics cards were mentioned.

To be more specific, the two graphics cards that will be showcased by MSI during Computex 2018 are the MSI Radeon RX 580 Mech 2 8G OC and Radeon RX 570 Mech 2. Both graphics cards will most likely come with the same overall design, with performance and efficiency being the differentiators.

As expected, specifications for the Radeon RX 580 Mech 2 8G OC and Radeon RX 570 Mech 2 were not mentioned. That said, judging from the photo, the Radeon RX 580 Mech 2 8G OC seem to be equipped with five display output ports (HDMI, DVI, and DisplayPort). TweakTown stated that these graphics cards may likely be made available sometime in July.

Those aside, it’ll be interesting to see if MSI is planning to add Vega-based graphics cards to the RX Mech 2 series; and knowing the unique features that’ll come with these graphics cards will be equally as interesting as well.
