GrabFood Officially Goes Live On 28 May With 300 Participating Outlets

Grab will officially launching GrabFood on 28 May, taking another step in its plan to create a large eco-system around its products. The food delivery service will start with 300 participating outlets centred in Kuala Lumpur, but is also set to expand to other areas over the weeks following its launch.

GrabFood has been operating for about two weeks now, having deployed a beta test in the Mont Kiara, Sri Hartama, Bukit Damansara, and Bangsar.

The official launch will see an expansion to cover Kampung Baru, Chow Kit, KL City Centre, Titiwangsa and Setiawangsa. Although Grab is promising more areas added in the coming weeks.

Ordering food from one of GrabFood’s participating merchants incurs a flat RM5 delivery fee, and there is no minimum order necessary. Meaning that people can attempt to order tiny snacks and have them delivered to their homes. Users will also collect additional GrabRewards points for using GrabFood, with a rate of five points earned for every ringgit spent.

GrabFood is available on both Android and iOS.
