Styrian Grand Prix 2020: F1 schedule, UK times and how to watch

Styrian Grand Prix 2020: Despite the change in name, F1 is back where it started last week with the second race of the season held at the Red Bull Ring in Austria. Mercedes dominated the first race weekend of the season, though they weren’t without a few reliability issues which they’ll be hoping to solve for the Steiermark Grand Prix.

Red Bull had a race to forget. Off the pace at their home track, Max Verstappen retired, as did Alex Albon after his collision with Lewis Hamilton. Ferrari, despite having what could be described as a shambles of a car, managed to get the second podium position thanks to a strong drive from Charles Leclerc. Sebastian Vettel, meanwhile, started the weekend flouting the isolation rules and laboured to 10th place after another spin. Special mention should go to McLaren and Lando Norris in particular, who delivered a storming last lap to secure his first podium in F1.

If the Styrian Grand Prix 2020 manages to deliver as much excitement as the first race, then despite the curtailed season we could be looking at a competitive season… for second place. Despite some issues, Mercedes look far and above everyone else, and we imagine the battle for this weekend will be Bottas 3.0 vs Hamilton again. We look forward to seeing how well Ferrari fare with their upgrades (effectively a new car), as they were shockingly off the pace in the Austrian Grand Prix. First up is practice sessions 1 & 2.

Our guide explains how to catch this weekend’s Styrian Grand Prix action, including channels and UK times for practice races, qualifying and, of course, the main event. Plus, how to live stream everything and keep your data safe.
