Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 And S7 Plus To Ship Out With Snapdragon 865+, Dual Main Cameras

By now, rumours surrounding Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Tab S7 tablet series are undoubtedly in abundance. Now, the latest and most recent leak not only tells us how many variants of the tablets there are, but it also gives us a breakdown of their hardware.

The information, which comes by way of Roland Quandt (@rquandt) at WinFuture, points towards Samsung releasing both a Galaxy Tab S7 and Tab S7+. To be fair, information about the latter has been floating online for some time now, while news and information about the Tab S7 are considerably rare.

One particular point to take note of is the screen size on the two tablets; The Tab S7 is expected to ship out with an 11-inch LTPS LCD display with resolution of 2560 x 1600, a maximum brightness of 500 nits, and a pixel density of 274 ppi. As for the Tab S7+’s 12.4-inch Super AMOLED display, we’re looking at a resolution of 2800 x 1752 pixels, a pixel density of 287 ppi, and a maximum brightness of 420 brightness. The latter sounds lower, but it’s important to remember that with an OLED display, the difference is negligible.

Beyond the difference in display size and types, it appears that the internal hardware for both the Tab S7 and Tab S7+ are identical; both tablets will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865+ SoC, have at least 6GB LPDDR5X RAM at the bare minimum, as well as 128GB internal storage for the base versions. Surprisingly, both models will supposedly carry support for the 5G.

Battery-wise, the Tab S7 will reportedly ship out with a 7060mAh battery, while the Tab S7+ will have a 10090mAh battery. Unsurprisingly, charging for both tablets will be conducted via USB-C. WinFuture says that both tablets will ship out with only a 15W charger, but like most of Samsung’s products, they should also support ultra-fast charging.

It also seems that both the Tab S7 and Tab S7+ will each come with an improved S Pen, one which is said to have a latency of just nine milliseconds. If this sounds familiar, it’s because an earlier report surrounding the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra also reported the phone have a similar stylus at launch.

Lastly, the main camera around the back of the Tab S7 and Tab S7+ will comprise dual sensors, specifically a 13MP and 5MP. Around the front, the selfie camera is rated at 8MP.

As with all leaks, we recommend that you take this news with a large grain of salt. That said, and seeing how close we are to date of Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event, you’d be forgiven for believing the specifications here. Especially if you’re aiming for one of them.
