LG Launches New UltraGear 4K Gaming Monitor With 1ms Response Time

LG officially launched its new UltraGear 27GN950 gaming monitor recently. The monitor was first announced back during CES 2020, with the Korean brand touting it as the world’s first 4K IPS gaming monitor with a 1ms report rate.

Specs-wise, the 27GN950’s display measures in at 27-inches, has a maximum brightness of 400 nits and a 98% DCI-P3 colour accuracy. In addition to the 1ms report rate, it also has a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz, as well as being an NVIDIA G-SYNC compatible monitor. Oh, and it also has HDR support.

As for its design, the 27GN950’s stand and spine is height adjustable and can be rotated. Moreover, it also has a large ring around the base that, in turn, is fitted with RGB LEDs. In an exercise of good and functional design, the monitor’s ports are easily accessible and comprise two HDMI 2.0b ports, DisplayPort 1.4, a couple of USB 3.0 ports, and the ubiquitous audio-out jack.

LG says that the UltraGear 27GN950 is already available. At the time of writing, we have yet to hear about local availability or pricing.
