Geoff Keighley’s DualSense Hands On Shows Mostly What We Already Know

Just yesterday Geoff Keighley tweeted a short video with the DualSense controller of the PlayStation 5. He also said that he will have a hands-on video of the controller. In the video though, we’re getting more of mostly what we already know about the next generation controller.

The video focuses on the Astro’s Playroom Demo, which now looks like a tech demo for the DualSense. The game basically takes you through environments that will make use of all the features of the controller. From the adaptive triggers to the haptics, these change depending on the game environment. But we already knew of these, even before we knew of the name DualSense.

Probably one use of the controller we don’t already know is that you can blow into it. Certain games may ask you to make use of this, like the Astro’s Playroom demo. This will likely make use of the microphone on the DualSense controller.

The video also includes an interview with Eric Lempel, the senior vice president and of marketing and consumer experience. But Lempel did not reveal anything new either. He did tell viewers that any rumours of a PS5 pre-order shouldn’t be believed, and that PlayStation will let you know when it’s happening.
