Naughty Dog: No The Last Of Us II DLC In The Pipeline
Naughty Dog does not have any plans on making a DLC for The Last of Us II. According to Neil Druckmann, the director of the franchise, both he and his team have no plans on offering DLCs for its latest title and instead are working on something else.
Druckmann’s statement about a potential The Last of Us II DLC came during an online video interview with the YouTube channel, Kinda Funny Games. Interestingly enough, when asked if there was going to be a multiplayer mode for the game, Druckmann can is visibly seen trying to suppress his desire to speak about the mode.
For those of you who have forgotten, Naughty Dog initially alluded to the possibility of a multiplayer mode within The Last of Us II. There’s not a whole lot of information about it and the mode was eventually cut out from the main game. However, Druckmann did say that the feature will make its way into the game, although “when and where it will be realised is still to be determined”.
While Naughty Dog doesn’t have any plans for a DLC in its latest title, it should be pointed out that the studio did release a handful of downloadable content, including a single-player campaign called The Last of Us: Left Behind.
The Last of Us II officially launched on 19 June for the PlayStation 4 and to overwhelmingly positive reviews, despite a leak that effectively put fans of the series on the edge.
