Alleged NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Specs Leak; Could Ship With 24GB GDDR6X, 384-Bit Memory Bus

It’s been a few days since images of NVIDIA’s alleged GeForce RTX 3080 made its way to the internet and opening the floodgates. With that, a new rumour about an RTX 3090 has emerged and judging from the specs, it sounds like an absolute beast.

The rumour stems from an article published on German-based tech site, iGor’s Lab. According to the article, NVIDIA supposedly has three Ampere-based graphics card in the pipeline, with one of them being a top-tier RTX 3090. All three GPUs will supposedly feature a GA102 GPU, but what is even more intriguing is that the card could ship out either as a Ti or Super variant.

More importantly, iGor’s Lab seems to have reason to believe that the RTX 3090 may end up shipping out with a heart-stopping 24GB of GDDR6X memory, a 384-bit memory bus, as well as a 350W TDP power envelope to keep it chugging on a system.

For those of you wondering what the other two cards are, iGor’s Lab lists them down as a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti with 11GB GDDR6X and a GeForce RTX 3080 with 10GB GDDR6X. Moreover, the site lists down the memory bus for both cards at 352-bit for the RTX 3080 Ti and 320-bit for the RTX 3080.

Sadly, the rumour mill stopped churning right about there, and at the time of writing, there are still no details about the RTX 3090’s performance, let alone whether it will support the new PCIe 4.0 interface. On a side note, if the report of the RTX 3080’s cooler shroud is to be believed, then it’s likely that that could be the new reference cooler for Founders Edition cards.

As always, this is simply all hearsay at this stage, so do treat this news with varying degrees of skepticism.
